Soma is a generic medication that can help people to save on the cost of medication. It is used for the alleviation of pain due to muscle spasms and the pain of straining the muscles. It is taken three times per day orally, once at breakfast, lunch and dinner. It should be taken with food to avoid getting an upset stomach with this medication. Those who take an overdose of Soma should see a doctor or seek emergency medical attention immediately. Taking too much Soma can cause unconsciousness, low blood pressure, fainting and problems breathing. Those who are starting Soma should be cautious when driving or operating machinery because Soma can cause drowsiness or dizziness. Alcohol can make these side effects worse so alcohol should be used with caution when taking Soma.
